This class represents the next evolution of our core Charcoal Fundamentals Class. We are here to introduce people to the world of smoked meats, charcoal and wood fuelled barbecue as well as expand upon the skillset of those already on their journey.
We predominantly use the iconic Weber Kettle as well as bullet smokers to show you how easy it is to get started with inexpensive, readily available equipment. You will also be able to adapt recipes and methods to your gas barbecue or chosen cooking method at home.
At Perth BBQ School HQ we have a wide array of equipment and can discuss whatever smokers, barbecues etc you already have or are considering.
We’ve cooked on them all.
Techniques we cover include grilling, smoking, reverse searing, brining and more. We show you how to set up and manage fuel so that you can master any charcoal barbecue.
Dishes include the ultimate burger, pulled pork, beef short ribs, smoked chicken breast and more.
You are provided with an onslaught of delicious food starting with burgers and wings for lunch then culminating with a massive meat platter to finish as well as a few complimentary beers. (We provide a keg of beer & you are welcome to BYO drinks on the day)
Combined with an intimate class size we think this makes it the best value BBQ school in town.
Whether you’re just starting out or have experience cooking with charcoal you will have a great time learning, eating tasty food and washing it down with some refreshing ales!
(Please note that this is not a hands on cooking class due to the volume of meats. You will be watching the instructors prepare food in front of you whilst they explain the process in detail)
